One Laptop per Child (OLPC)

0

One Laptop per Child has the mission to to provide children around the world with new opportunities to explore, experiment and express themselves.

The bold and radical innovative the Graphical User Interface (GUI) was build to enable a child to work alone or work collaboratively with neighboring laptops. This would work wonders in my office.

I’ve gotten a chance to play with these laptops in last years UX Week by Adaptive Path and heck, I want one for myself and my team.

Getting into the Business of Social

0

So yesterday at our Council of Wisdom meeting we talked about creating the first Local Wisdom blog. Everyone’s been talking about and it makes sense for so many reasons.

Don’t get it wrong, we know and understand blogs, from design, development, to business policy. This is why our customers come to us for solutions involving community driven solutions.

As you know the shoemakers kids and all… so here we are at the meeting and we challenged ourselves to stop talking and just start blogging. Forget the research, marketing plans, objectives, and all those other things that take time. We push innovation by being organically smart.

So what are we doing here? (heh, good question)

1. In our business we come across oodles of information that helps us be the best… we should share that.

2. We have a culture at Local Wisdom and we believe that culture is what will drive us to great heights. This blog is the vestibule for that culture.

3. We like to have fun. Why do business if we can’t smile while doing it?

So there you have it.

Hope you enjoy it, feel free to add a comment or shoot me an email.

Sincerely,

Pinaki
