2 Architect

Just like building a house, we need architecture blueprints to design and develop your digital platform. Our “blueprints” document the platform’s content hierarchy, navigation systems, and functionality with the goal of obtaining the best user experience.

Sitemap

A sitemap is a visual system detailing a platform’s content hierarchy. Through a custom sitemap, you’ll understand how content is organized and more specifically, how users will browse through content within your platform.

Wireframes

A wireframe document is a visual guide that represents the framework of individual page layouts bringing together content and media, interactions and functionality, and navigation systems. The focus of wireframing is to identify functionality, behavior, and priority of content. Quite simply, wireframes focus on what each page does.

Design Discovery

Our design discovery workshops are devoted to your vision. Through a series of questions, we document the design elements you seek for your digital platform including brand guidelines, color, photography, typography, look/feel, and more.

Iterative Design

We believe that great design comes from iteration. To that end, your first review meeting will include varying designs, each composed from the discovery meeting. 4 Develop

Our development expertise spans leading CMS platforms such as SharePoint, WordPress and Drupal, programming languages which include PHP, ASP.NET, Java, MySQL, and mobile device platforms including Android OS, iPhone iOS, and JQuery Mobile. Front-End & Back-End Development

Using the final designs, our front-end developers create functional HTML and CSS breathing life into your platform. 5 Test

Before launching your platform, we conduct two rounds of testing to ensure your solution looks and functions as intended. Our dedicated QA team will test the platform with an objective eye, ensuring the solution is ready for launch.

Alpha Testing

Following the completion of front and back-end development, the platform is transferred to alpha testing. During this first phase of testing, the QA team will conduct a thorough test, addressing cross-browser/cross-device compatibility, link integrity, and functionality. If a manuscript of your site was provided or completed by Local Wisdom, we will cross reference the manuscript to ensure the copy is exactly precise.

Beta Testing

Errors and bugs found during Alpha testing are corrected prior to beginning Beta testing. Beta testing is a final review of the platform, where the QA team reviews corrections made during Alpha testing and double checks the platform prior to client-side testing.

Client Side Testing

After Local Wisdom conducts internal testing, your business will have the opportunity to review your new digital solution. Should you find any problems, Local Wisdom will correct them before launch.

6 Launch

Whether your solution is hosted within your company or through a third-party provider, we’ll work with your business to ensure the platform launches successfully.

Going Live

We have experience collaborating with IT departments to transfer your site to its live production environment. If you’re working with a third party hosting platform, we’ll transfer the site to its live state keeping you informed throughout the process.

Post Launch

Curation is a subscription-based service designed to grow a web platform’s value and ensure its consistent upkeep and progression.

Overview

Curation, also called a “website lifecycle management service,” entails maintenance and evolution-based updates implemented as a means to refresh content, increase audience engagement, and include the latest trends in digital design and development.

The History of Curation

Local Wisdom instituted its Curation service after working closely with large pharmaceutical companies whose digital platforms required constant review by the Food & Drug Administration. Also called medical legal review, Local Wisdom worked with these companies to ensure all sites were reviewed, updated, and approved each year. Through this experience, it became clear there was a need for Curation in the marketplace. Since its inception, Local Wisdom has brought on a number of Fortune companies who use this service as a means to keep their digital platforms updated, compliant, and evolved.

Dedicated Team

A dedicated team is assigned to each Curation agreement we maintain. The team is comprised of a Digital Strategist, Client Partner, and Web Curator. Also available to Curation clients is the Local Wisdom shop, composed of highly passionate, creative, and talented architects, designers, and developers.

Curation Plan

Each Curation is different. Our digital strategists will sit down with your team to understand your business objectives, your anticipated site maintenance measures, and any planned updates you hope to implement. We can help strategize platform enhancements and provide recommendations for Curation tasks as well. After these discussions, we’ll propose a set amount of hours each month we deem necessary for your Curation.

Integration

Curation begins with integration. Integration is simply Local Wisdom getting to know your business. We begin with a kick-off meeting where we get to know your team. From there, we’ll establish key contacts, workflows, and meeting schedules. We’ll also work with the IT group to ensure proper access to your hosted environments.

Maintenance

Website maintenance includes a host of upkeep measures designed to ensure compliance while maintaining an optimal user experience. Example maintenance measures include:
