The Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation (JJPAF) is a non-profit organization that assists qualified patients in obtaining free products donated by the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. Multiple audience groups visit JJPAF.org including patients, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and advocacy groups. Site audiences can learn detailed information on the program, apply for assistance, and healthcare providers can log into the provider portal to manage all of their patients enrolled in the program.

User Scenarios

Understanding the various audience motivations was critical toward adapting the architecture framework. We surveyed JJPAF stakeholders to gain an intimidate understanding of the program. Following our research, we created user scenarios, dividing those scenarios into two groups: patients and facilitators. By outlining fictional but realistic user-case examples, the IA team gained a full immersion into the mindset of JJPAF patients and the healthcare providers that support the program.

Application Wizard

A checklist wizard flow was developed to outline the patient application process. Based on answers to various pre-determined questions, we mapped a user flow detailing the patient’s experience as they go through the process of completing the application.
