Pinaki Kathiari Appointed CEO
Exciting news! We’re proud to announce the appointment of Pinaki Kathiari as our new CEO. He has assumed the responsibilities of CEO as of May 1, 2017.
Pinaki has been part of the Local Wisdom, Inc. team for 18 years, serving in many roles, such as product and account manager, and Director of UX before being promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in the latest chapter of his LW story. During that time, he set the vision and mission of the company beyond its design and development roots, facilitated the company’s strategic goal setting initiatives, and helped set up the company’s department models. His experiences have taken him from small consultancies to startups, interactive agencies and global fortune companies, spanning the industries of pharma, information technology, advertising, healthcare, automotive and finance. Maintaining his entrepreneurial spirit, he has also since founded Resource Hero, a people and project management app that has tripled in revenue since its launch and consistently maintains a 5-star rating.
When asked what he felt about the new role and exciting future of Local Wisdom, Pinaki told us, “The story of Local Wisdom is truly an epic journey from 4 guys in a basement to the 45-person company we are today. We are on the precipice of reaching the next milestone with a new brand, new services, and a new mindset. With the team and leadership that we have in place, I’m fully confident that we’re building a Local Wisdom to withstand the test of time and forever adapt to the ever-changing world of digital.”

As a team, Local Wisdom has had the pleasure of joining forces on projects ranging from healthcare marketing campaigns to sparking innovation in internal communications to helping local non-profits spread hunger relief awareness. As a vital part of the LW team, Pinaki is a problem-solver who loves to encourage, inspire, and collaborate with his peers and the younger LW generation. Dan Spedaliere has banded together with Pinaki quite extensively in the last year, and what he shared was, “Pinaki has a strong vision for the future of Local Wisdom. Being selected as CEO puts him in a position to more efficiently execute a focused strategic vision. I am excited to see Pinaki’s future Local Wisdom come to life under his leadership.”
